Gary Joyal

Gary currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Joyal Capital Management, LLC, (“JCM”) formed in 1989, an Estate, Business and Financial Planning firm with many local ties in the greater New England area. He is Managing Partner of its affiliates (over 25 operating companies) including; Joyal Insurance Agency, LLC, JCM Mortgage Company, LLC, JCM Franchise Development, LLC, Joyal Property & Liability, Inc. and multiple Real Estate holding companies. Corporate Headquarters are located in Plymouth, MA with offices in Boston, MA, Beverly Hills, CA and Boca Raton, FL. For over 25 years, Joyal Capital Management, LLC has been a strategic consultant to family businesses and high net worth individuals concentrating on the importance of legacy planning. The companies perform a variety of consulting, marketing, estate planning, property development, and management services. On a philanthropic note, Gary is also the Founder of Joyal Capital Management Foundation, Inc.
In order to meet the needs of the firm’s clients, Joyal Insurance Agency, LLC was established in 1989 with Gary as Managing Member. This independent agency, with active licenses in over 20 states has relationships with over 35 insurance companies. In 2004, the Wealth Management Division of JCM was created to provide real time, fully integrated and completely updated planning for clients. This entailed profit and loss, new business development, joint venture relationships and client service.
Gary continued his forward-thinking business strategy by forming JCM Mortgage Company, LLC in September 2001 to meet the increasing demand for funding of real property refinancing and acquisitions. In 2009, keeping with the philosophy of Total Plan Integration, through the holding company, he formed a strategic partnership with Northern Bank & Trust Company (“Northern,”) a Boston-based full service bank and trust. Northern offers a complete suite
of banking and financing options including Residential, Commercial, Construction and Personal Loans. He initiated this relationship in a concerted effort to reduce turnaround times for finance approvals, and to open a pipeline of creative finance options for small businesses. As a result, JCM Mortgage Company became JCM Finance, LLC in 2014.
Since a large part of the company rolodex is franchisee based, JCM Franchise Development, LLC was formed in June 2006 with Gary as Managing Member. This franchise division is based on the foundation of providing differentiated, value- added advice and services to clients on complex strategic decisions and transactions. These services cover a wide range of strategic transactions, including; mergers and acquisitions, buy-sell advisory services, leveraged buy-outs, joint ventures, strategic alliances, refinancing, debt placement and various restructuring efforts.
Gary is also Managing Partner of the JCM Opportunity Fund I, LLC which focuses on private investments in QSR and commercial real estate.
Philanthropic giving is an important part of giving back to the community, and thus Joyal Capital Management Foundation, Inc. was born from this commitment in September 2008. As Founder, Gary established a clear mission to actively serve those in need by building permanent, charitable capital, making philanthropic grants and providing services that contribute to the health and vitality of the community through interactive giving.

Each $100 for 100 event invites 100 local children to a retail store and provides each child with a $100 gift card to spend on new items for themselves and their families with the help of volunteers, nominators and family members. The children
come from many unfortunate circumstances including financial hardship, declining health, broken homes and abuse. They are identified by local human service agencies, schools, churches and individuals such as neighbors, relatives, etc. The program also seeks to recognize outstanding youth for their community leadership and academic accomplishments as well as those who display personal interactive giving in the community. Equally important to the program’s success has been its focus on interactive giving, which is the important “principle” of hands-on-volunteer participation. Each event is manned by local volunteers who help the children stretch their dollars and make thoughtful decisions with their purchases.
This encounter not only enhances the experience for the children, but also reinforces the value of community service for the volunteers involved. The program is meaningful and touching to all who participate, which ultimately strengthens community spirit creating a memorable day for all. The original “$100 for 100” Interactive Giving program is now helping thousands of children in need nationally.
Gary began his career in the Estate, Business and Financial Planning marketplace in 1984 with MetLife State Street where he qualified as the youngest person ever for the prestigious President’s Council. He has been affiliated for over 25 years with Guardian Life Insurance Company of America where he served as President of the Executive Committee and was instrumental in the formation of Guardian Trust Company FSB.
