Mr. Cronin, from Co. Cork, Ireland, founded The Cronin Group, LLC in 2005 to oversee and expand his growing interests in real estate development and hospitality properties. He has over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality field and has been developing real estate in the Boston area since 1995. The Cronin Group has aggregated over $1 billion in historical sales revenue and has over 2,000 employees.
Prior to developing his own hospitality properties and founding Cronin Group, Mr. Cronin worked as a Project Manager for Metcalf and Eddy, a full-service engineering design and construction company with offices in Wakefield, MA. Mr. Cronin was involved with Metcalf and Eddy in the management of the Boston Harbor Project, the $3.8 billion investment in the treatment facilities at Deer Island, which have proven to be a great success and the harbor clean-up is widely recognized as one of the nation’s greatest environmental achievements.
Mr. Cronin received a Certificate in Construction Management from the Cork Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Lowell.
Mr. Cronin is involved in numerous non-profits in the Boston area and serves as Vice President of the board at the South Boston Collaborative Center and sits on the Board of Directors of the South Boston Neighborhood House. Mr. Cronin and his wife Nicole have 2 daughters and a son, they are Boston residents, living in the Seaport district of Boston.
