Retired Wide Receiver/Special Teams, Co- Captain, New England Patriots

The 13x special-teams captain of the New England Patriots, he is a three time Super Bowl champion, 10-time Pro Bowler, and seven-time All Pro nominee.

Recently an advisor to the NEP head coach, and now transitioning to full time philanthropy, on and off the field Matthew is recognized for his outstanding leadership, sportsmanship, and commitment to community service. As the recipient of the NFL Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award, Bart Starr Award, Patriots Walter Payton Man of the Year, Ron Burton Humanitarian Award, Ron Burton Community Service Award, Ron Hobson Media Good Guy Award, and many other commendations, Matthew has left an impact on the game of football and the larger community.

As a husband to Shahrzad, father to four little ones, and mentor to many, Matthew demonstrates Biblical leadership on a daily basis. The son of NFL Hall of Fame tackle Jackie and Annie Slater, brother to David, Matthew hails from a legacy of dedicated and sacrificial servant leadership modeled after Jesus, to which he intentionally pursues today.
