Paul Burton is a reporter for WBZ-TV CBS News in Boston. A true
local reporter, Burton was born and raised in Framingham,
Massachusetts. He attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
Earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Master’s
degree at The Medill School of Journalism.
Burton received a second Master’s degree as well as a Doctorate in Ministry degree from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
Prior to becoming a journalist, Burton led a successful career as an
athlete. From 1994-1997 he was an ALL-Big Ten punter at
Northwestern, taking part in two Big Ten Championships and playing in both the 1996 Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, and the 1997 CitrusBowl in Orlando, Florida. Burton also had a short stint in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks.
In addition to his career and studies, Burton also serves as Chief Development Officer of the Ron Burton Training Village, a youth organization founded by his father, Ron Burton Sr., in 1985. The mission of RBTV is to train challenged youth to achieve their purpose through education, leadership, physical wellness, social advancement, and spiritual growth.
