Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fitchburg State College before it became a University. She began her nursing career in critical care, where she felt a strong calling to advocate for those in urgent need. After experience in critical care, Rebecca became a school nurse where she has been for over 23 years. Now a District school nurse in a regional school district, she advocates for students and staff across all grade levels. For the past 22 years, Rebecca has worked in a non-profit community health setting during the summers, helping youth achieve their best health while pursuing their purpose through education, leadership, physical wellness, social advancement, and spiritual growth.
Rebecca is nationally certified as a school nurse and has maintained this certification for many years. She is also an instructor for CPR/AED and First Aid through the American Heart Association. Active in her professional community, she serves on the Massachusetts Nurses Association Board as the Data Coordinator for Massachusetts and is a member of the National Association of School Nurses. Additionally, she holds professional status with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and has been published in A Long Way from Henry Street, Volume 1. She is certified in adult mental health first aid by the national council for mental well-being. She is actively pursuing her Master’s in Nursing and will graduate in May, 2025.
Rebecca lives in Massachusetts with her two adult children, two cats—Leo and Momo—and her dog, Ruby. Rebecca remains committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those she serves, whether through providing compassionate care to students, advocating for health and wellness, or supporting the growth and development of individuals in her community.
