Susan Johnson Patterson is the owner of Ahead of the Curve Enterprises LLC, which specializes in math instruction consultation and services.
Before joining RBTV, Susan served as a high school math interventionist and adjunct professor for over twenty years. She is recognized for her expertise in math remediation, RBTV encompassing tutoring, curriculum development, and preparation for high-stakes testing.
Before her career in education, Susan worked as an engineer in the telecommunications industry. She was employed at AT&T Laboratories as a systems engineer, product manager, and market researcher in the rapidly evolving field of data communications networks. Her experience also includes collaborations with companies such as Ameritech and Citizen Communications.
Susan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Spelman College (Honors Program), a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia (AT&T Scholar), and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
