WBZ-TV’s Paul Burton Ready to Run 10th Boston Marathon

ROM BOSTON (CBS) — WBZ-TV reporter Paul Burton will run his 10th Boston Marathon this year.

Paul runs the marathon on behalf of his father, the late Ron Burton and to raise money for the Ron Burton Training Village.

“I remember being at the corner of Gloucester and Boylston streets when I heard the bombs go off,” Burton said.

Burton’s wife captured the bombs going off on her cell phone from her seat in the stands.

“All I could see down the end of Boylston was a ton of smoke and I knew my mother was there, I knew my wife was there, I knew my brother was there anchoring,” he said.

Today, he said he has no fear running the 2014 marathon.

“It’s going to be greater and better than ever,” he said.
