“When I first came to RBTV I was a young teenager with very little confidence in myself. I did not know what I wanted to do with my life nor did I think I would ever amount to much. As years passed camp instilled in me a faith in myself and in my God, and showed me that I am important to those around me. RBTV has made me a better son to my mother, a better friend to my peers, and a better person overall. There is a saying that states, ‘Experience is the hardest kind of teacher. It gives you the test first and the lesson afterward.’ As Ron Burton Sr. always said, RBTV has given me the answers to the test of life. I attended Stonehill College on the Ron Burton Memorial Scholarship and graduated with B.A. in Liberal Arts, and I now work as Reset Representative for Coca-Cola Enterprises. Because of RBTV, “experience” is no longer a hard teacher, but instead a reminder of the life lessons that I have already learned.”
